Opened in late November 2002, we invite you to come and experience true Cape hospitality, personalised service, a charming ambiance, and superb food and wine at this splendid four-star boutique hotel on the historic mile of Paarl near Cape Town.

All the buildings of this owner-managed hotel complex are national monuments, dating back to the late 1700s. Our individually decorated suites reflect the rich tones of the Cape's Cape Dutch, Indian, Indonesian and Malay cultural heritage.

The Butcher’s Steakhouse

A steak house with a difference, a large menu and superb hand picked wines to suit every ones tastes. This restaurant offers the best steaks and ambiance in the Winelands; customers are invited to select their personalised matured cut from the grill and see it being prepared to their liking. Fully air-conditioned, with fireplaces adding to the cosy ambiance in the cooler months. ‘The Most Valued Guest Club’ is for the customers who order and finish the larger piece of meats. Next time those members visit us; they will have a personalised steak knife and VIP parking.

Café Cuba

Café Cuba is a trendy Cigar and Tapas bar, and offers a great start and end to an evening with a variety of cocktails, cigars and tapas. Cosy evenings by the log burning fireplaces, leather sofas and old world furnishings enhance your experience in Cuba. The menu is easy, light with a range of finger - tapas meals and some delectable desserts.

Guest Lounge

Directions

When driving out of the airport terminal, take the N2 turn- off on the left hand side. When driving on the N2, about ± 5 km drive; take the R300 turn-off to the left hand side. Stay on the R300 and eventually the R300 will meet the N1 driving to Paarl. It is about 15 to 20 minutes drive before the Paarl turn-off is at the left hand side. At the intersection, turn left – You are now in the Main Road. You will get Engen garage at your left hand side, further down the road KWV on your right hand side. You cross two sets of traffic lights – keep going straight ahead. Then there will be a stop street and straight – HET GESIGHT CHURCH is about 200m on your left hand side.
