Wine estate open to public. Specialists in production of MCC sparkling wines, white and red wines. 2 Tastings per day: 11:00 and 15:00. Famous tasting with SABRAGE every saturday at 11:00 conducted by proprietor and cellar master Achim von Arnim personally. Home of Pierre Jourdan and Haute Cabrière wines, the beautiful Cabrière Estate, situated on the banks of the Franschhoek river, was granted to the French Huguenot refugee farmer Pierre Jourdan on the 22 December 1694. Haute Cabriere Cellar Restaurant The award-winning combination of two great winelands talents, Chef-Patron Matthew Gordon and Cellar-Master Achim von Arnim has made Haute Cabriere the restaurant and venue of choice for innovative cuisine and superb events. The restaurant offers "The True Marriage of Food and Wine". The fare showcases the talents of the splendid food and wine maestros. The cellar-style restaurant is built into the hill overlooking the beautiful Franschhoek Valley. At the back, it overlooks the Pinot Noir maturation Cellar, a stunning venue for wedding ceremonies beneath the vaulted cathedral arches.

Directions

From the N1, take exit 59. At the stop sign, turn right towards Franschhoek. You are now on the R301. Drive for about 20 minutes along this road. The road takes you passed the Pearl Valley Golf Estate and the Groot Drakenstein Prison, where Nelson Mandela was released. At the end of the road is a stop street (Berg River Water Project will be directly in front of you.) Turn left onto the R45 towards Franschhoek. Drive for about 5 minutes and then you will enter Franschhoek. At the end of the Franschhoek Main Road, is the Huguenot Monument. Turn left here and drive up the Franschhoek Pass for about 1km. On your left hand side you will see a sign board for Haute Cabriere. Turn left and you can in the parking area. The Haute Cabriere Wine Cellar is next door to the Haute Cabriere Restaurant.
